- Description
- The following Questions were received regarding this solicitation: Question: 1.) One thing that is necessary is a water source for jet/vac trucks for cleaning. Can you advise if water will be provided on base? And, if so, if there are any charges for this? Government Answer: Water from USDA hydrant, water is free Question: 2.) Another necessary component is a location to dump solids pulled from the sanitary system. Is there a location on base that can accept sanitary sewer waste or must the contractor find a location off-base? Government Answer: Contractor may can decant at one of our lagoons Question: 3.) In "1.3.8.5" of the SOW, the inspection report mentions "Manhole rim and invert elevation" is required. I was hoping you could clarify what this means. a. I suspect it means just the distances measured from the rim of the manhole to the invert of each pipe inside the manhole (including the outflow). If this is the case, this is relatively simple. Government Answer: Measure from rim to flow line b. If instead this means the actual "sea-level" elevation needs to be provided for both, this will require a base station and is essentially something closer to a full surveying workflow. We have the capability for both, but just wanted to confirm since there will be a material difference between A and B in terms of cost and equipment required. Government Answer: Not required Question: 4.) Is there a map of the system that can be provided prior to quotes? Will a map be provided prior to work starting? Government Answer: None at this time. System is from 1940 (end)
