Description
The Bureau of Reclamation intends to exercise the first option period under contract R15PX00609. The Bureau of Reclamation has an ongoing requirement for a contractor to continue with efforts to assist with Reclamation-wide guidance and support services as well as operating services to Reclamation organizations located in Denver and Washington. The first option period under this contract will be for the performance period of June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2017, and for the following three option years. A single source is on file to support that incumbent contractor, Arrupe Jesuit High School Corporate Work-Study Program (CWSP), is uniquely qualified to execute the pending work effort. Arrupe Jesuit High School Corporate Work-Study Program was originally selected in support the Federal Equal Opportunity Recruitment Program and the White House Initiatives Executive Orders on Educational Excellence, the Department of the Interior Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan, DOI Youth Initiatives and the Management Directive 715 establishes goals for recruitment and community outreach which includes enhancing the educational and life opportunities of underrepresented and/or economically disadvantaged students by fostering community engagement, improving the quality of, and expanding access to, adult education, literacy, and career and technical education, as well as increasing opportunities for education and career advancement that include but limited to paid and non-paid internships in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The urban youth will learn new skills that will prepare them for college, a career, and civic participation which will assist them in being contributing members of the society as a whole. A high concentration of diverse students will be exposed to the Reclamation mission and the idea of pursuing high education in effort to build a workforce that looks like the American people we serve. The public will benefit from the development of future conservation employees/leaders who are accountable citizens achieving their potential. This is not a request for competitive quotes.
