- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. Responses to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the art of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22 is seeking sources to provide the following item on a BRAND NAME OR EQUAL basis for Boston Scientific Corporation or Equal: BOSTON SCIENTIFIC: Integrated Polaris Multi-modality Systems, Part #H749iLab120N2710 (iLAB). The potential unit must have the capability to perform all stated below. "Installed system reduces set up time. Control from the sterile field. "Imaging workstation with imaging archiving options. "Provides full cross-section IVUS images alone or in combination with a longitudinal view Measurement of lesion length on longitudinal view. "Automatic vessel and lumen borders. "Table side Controller. "Touch Panel. "Tissue classification based on RF signals. "Displayed side by side with the gray scale for ease of image interpretation. "Modality work list. "Export images and video files. "Diameter stenosis feature. "Display of area and length measurement. "Enhance image interpretation by adding color to the cross-sectional IVUS view, coloring plaque and lumen. "Overlay of Intra-vascular ultrasound system (IVUS) screen with color. Tint colors red, blue, yellow or green. "Zoom feature that enlarges icons on the main IVUS screen and provides a description of each. "Allows user to start a new run from the main screen. "Automatic detection of lumen and vessel borders. "Animation of static IVUS images for improved image interpretation. "Automatically enhances IVUS image. "Archives completed cases on CD, DVD, removable hard drive or DICOM network. "Off line DICOM viewing software allows for post-procedure case viewing. "Upgradeable. "Provide FFR and iFR capabilities. " Must be compatible with Boston Scientific iCross 40 mHz Coronary imaging catheter. Important information: The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for, or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set aside. However, if response by Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms proves inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated. The anticipated NAICS code is: 334510 (ELECTROMEDICAL AND ELECTROTHERAPEUTIC APPARATUS MANUFACTURING), with a small business size standard of 500 Employees. Notice to potential offerors: Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature of their proposed product. Interested parties must identify their product as "brand name or equal". The "equal" product(s) must have the same physical, functional, or performance characteristics as the item(s) referenced above. Interested parties response shall include Company Name, DUNS number, and address, point of contact, title, phone number and email address. Interested parties shall also identify their type of business (e.g., small, large) and socioeconomic status whether Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Hubzone, 8(a), Woman Owned, Small Disadvantaged, etc. The intent of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications, Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), HUBZone Program, 8(a), Small Business (SB), Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman Owned Small Business, or large business (LB); relative to NAICS 334510. Responses to this notice, will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are to be sent electronically to Ryoko.foran@va.gov. Only emailed requests received directly from the interested party are acceptable. Facsimile responses will not be accepted. After review of the response(s) to the SOURCES SOUGHT notice, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website. Responses to the SOURCES SOUGHT notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested parties will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to the SOURCES SOUGHT notice. Interested parties are reminded to register with System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts. Responses must be received by 9:00 a.m. (PDT), 6 June 2016.
