- SOW The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to American National Standards Institute (ANSI), 1899L St. NW, 11th Floor, Washington, DC 20036-3804, for services that assist the efforts to achieve the following: continue the involvement of NIOSH in the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) consensus guidance and standards activities; and support the efforts of Technical Committee 229 in the development of guidance and practice standards specific to identifying and mitigating potential workplace hazards associated with nanotechnology. This requirement is for a base year of approximately a 3 month period. The capability requirement that makes it a sole source is the data is exclusive and proprietary data. ANSI is the only source to that can provide the data. For this contract action the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within two (2) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
