- Description
- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION DATABUS NETWORK TESTER (DBNT) Background This is a Request for Information (RFI) for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this RFI. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) requires a DBNT that is capable of troubleshooting 1) MIL-STD-1553B, 2) Ethernet, and 3) ARINC-429 buses in military aircraft. The acronym "DBNT" will hereafter be used to represent a combination 1553B/Ethernet/ARINC-429 bus tester. Note that the Government seeks to identify an integrated tester that can troubleshoot the wiring and components of all three of the above-mentioned buses, not three separate units. The user of the tester will be tasked to determine whether there are faults (e.g., opens, shorts, failed components, and excessive line loss) in the wiring system of the bus, not necessarily whether a Remote Terminal is operational. Request for Information The NAWCADLKE is seeking information from industry regarding a DBNT device. Please provide the following information about a DBNT or DBNT technology that is either under development or is a product supplied by your company / organization. We are requesting the following details: 1) A general description of your DBNT product / technology and the projected turnaround for potential future acquisitions. 2) Identification of critical enabling technologies of your DBNT. Include the technology readiness level (TRL) of your DBNT product / technology and a summary of field usage, tests, and demonstration results. 3) A product specification, along with the general description, of the following: • Accuracy • Measurement Range • Types of interfaces • Signal stimulus 4) An overview of your DBNT concept of operation (including the user operating manual if available). 5) The power requirements of your DBNT; i.e., is it energized by batteries and/or AC? 6) The calibration requirements of your DBNT. Indicate whether there is a calibration procedure in place. 7) The environmental test methods your DBNT has been subjected to, the results, and the environmental parameters that it is approved to operate in (e.g. electromagnetic susceptibility / emissions, operating / storage temperature, humidity, altitude, and shock). 8) If applicable, provide customer testimonials with references. Provide your point(s) of contact. 9) Provide information about your company / organization including: a brief business profile and registered small / large, 8A, hub-zone, veteran / woman-owned, etc. status. Also, include any past or present Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) awards related to your DBNT. 10) Provide product datasheets and or brochures. 11) Provide any additional information that may be relevant to this RFI.
