- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Any inquiries are to be made in writing by email to the point of contact. Responses to this notice shall be sent by email to christopher.vu2@va.gov by the due date and time of 07/08/2016 by 4:00p.m CT. Description of requirement and submittal requirements are below: Government seeks contractor to provide Temporary Residential Shelter to include but not limited to, beds, restrooms, bath, kitchen facilities, and related furnishings. Adequate safety and security measures in accordance with VA standards and in conformance with state and local and health codes as outlined is 38 CFR, section 17.35b, http://vaww.ceosh.med.va.gov, shall be in place in order to provide optimum safety for residents. Provide food at a minimum of three balanced meals daily and snacks daily to each sheltered resident. The contractor wills provide personal hygiene items, first aid supplies, and storage as needed. Temporary Residential Shelter and Supportive Services through the Health Care Homeless Veterans (HCHV) program: This requirement will serve up to 10 homeless Veterans in need of immediate placement in a safe environment with onsite supportive services per month. Many of these Veterans have co-morbid conditions that include series mental illnesses, substance abuse disorders, and other medical conditions. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center (GVSMVAMC) is located at 1500 East Woodrow Wilson Drive, Jackson, Mississippi 39216. GVSMVAMC requires approximately 10 beds to be provided at the contractor's facility with support services within a 25 mile radius of GVSMVAMC per month. The Government requests capability statements and comments from interested businesses regarding the requirements described above. Responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this notice with a statement of interest on company letterhead. At a minimum, the following information shall be provided: 1. Company Name; 2. Company Mailing Address; 3. Point(s) of Contact including telephone number(s) & email address(es); 4. Socio-Economic (i.e. Small/Large Business, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), etc.) as it relates to NAICS Code 624221 ($11 Million). 5. Provide a summary of the type of Temporary Residential Shelter and Support Services performed and experience. 6. Additional information and/or comments. Responses will be shared with government personnel, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence. Contractors submitting comments may also request to discuss their comments directly with the government.
