Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has a requirement to enlarge the existing Hamilton Tract well and casing at Modoc National Wildlife Refuge, 5364 County Road 115, Alturas, CA 96101, Modoc County, CA. Project is restricted to small businesses. Applicable NAICS code is 237110. Small business size is defined as no more than $36.5 million annually. Period of Performance is from date of award to October 31, 2016. Site Visit: Firms interested in attending a site visit will meet on Wednesday, July 13th, 2016 at 10 AM. If attending the site visit please contact Sean Cross at office phone (530) 233-3572 or by email at sean_cross@fws.gov at least 72 hours prior to arrival to confirm intent to attend and specifics will be provided on where contractors will meet. Date for submission of Questions: Contractors should submit any questions on this project directly to Karl Lautzenheiser at karl_lautzenheiser@fws.gov later than close of business on Friday, July 15, 2016. Questions will be consolidated and answers provided by issuance of an amendment directly thereafter. Site Visit: Scope of work for project entails enlargement of the well casing and increasing the depth of the existing Hamilton Tract well. Currently there is a 16 inch casing from 0 to 32 feet, below that is non-cased and total depth of the well is 1005 feet. Also, contractor to install a high efficiency diesel or propane engine driven pump to accommodate the new well dimensions. Project will also include mounting engine to concrete pad, a fuel tank with all the appropriate lines and linkages, clutch and drive systems and all engine control components including self-regulated emergency shutoff systems. The concrete pad is required at the well head to set the powerhead and fuel tank on and will be provided by the contractor. Basis for award: Trade off to make a best value award determination based upon submission of past performance references and pricing. Solicitation Number F16PS00718 and scope of work will be posted to FedBizOpps approximately June 28, 2016 with proposals due by close of business on July 28, 2016. No further notice will be posted on Fedbizopps.
