Description

The general scope of work of this requirement is a Firm-Fixed Price for maintenance and repair services of approximately 22¬¬ miles of railroad. The Contractor shall perform requirements of this contract on an 'as needed, as funded' basis. This track, which is owned and operated by the U.S. Army Ft. Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, shall be maintained to Federal Railway Administration (FRA) Class 2 standards in accordance with the current version of Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 49, Part 213, US Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Railway Administration, UFC 4-860-03, Office of Safety, Publication Track Safety Standards; CFR Title 49, Part 214, Railroad Workplace Safety; and with the current version of CFR Title 48, Part 237, Bridge Safety Standards. All services performed by the Contractor shall be in strict accordance with the conditions and specifications of this contract. All operations in connection with this section shall be closely coordinated with the Contracting Officers Representative (COR).
