- The Government is issuing this sources-sought announcement as part of a market survey for repair sources for the following Items. FA8251-17-SSS13 - F-5 Multiple Item Repair Sources sought 416 SCMS/GUMBA - Issue Date 8 July 2016 - Closing Date 8 August 2016 This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, MARKET SURVEY - SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: The Government is issuing this sources-sought announcement as part of a market survey for repair sources for the following Items. •· F-5 Flap Actuator 1680-00-232-2235 P/N 181RA38R176 •· F-5 Aileron Control Trim Actuator 1680-00-999-2269 P/N AAL1020M5 •· F-5 Fuel Pump 2915-00-382-9088 multiple part numbers Response to this Notice shall consist of a short (3 pages or less per item) initial White Paper describing how the offeror would have the capability to trouble shoot, test and repair these items. The F-5 Flap Actuator is also called a rotary electro mechanical actuator. We do not have the drawings to build this item. There is a functional Spec and Repair Tech Order which describe it •· 14-74908 CAGE 76823 Product Function Specification for Flap Actuating Set, Aircraft •· TO 8A1-7-20-3 Overhaul Instructions with IPB Rotary Electro-mechanical Actuator Part Number 181RA38R176 Parts List and list of applicable equipment is found in T.O. 8A1-7-20-3.. The Government does not have any test equipment for the F-5 Flap Actuator. The F-5 Aileron Control Trim Actuator is also called linear electro-mechanical actuator. We do not have build to drawings for this item. There is a functional Spec and Repair Tech Order which describe it. •· 6-74907 CAGE 76283 Specification Control Drawing Actuator-Aileron, Control Trim •· T.O. 8A1-8-34-3 Overhaul Instructions Linear Electro-mechanical Actuator •· T.O. 8A1-8-34-4 IPB Linear Electro-Mechanical Actuator Parts List and list of applicable equipment is found in T.O. 8A1-8-34-3 and 8A1-8-34-4. The Government does not have any test equipment for the F-5 Aileron Control Trim Actuator. The F-5 Fuel Pump is also called Pump, Submerged, Aircraft-Fuel Booster. We do not have the drawings for this item to build. There is a functional Spec and Repair Tech Order which describe it. •· 14-52914 CAGE 76283 Product Function Specification Pump, Submerged, Aircraft-Fuel Booster •· T.O. 6J10-3-135-3 Overhaul Instructions with IPB Aircraft Submerged Pump Parts List and list of applicable equipment is found in T.O. 6J10-3-135-3. The Government does not have any test equipment for the F-5 Aileron Control Trim Actuator. The respondent must be able to demonstrate the ability to obtain or create those resources necessary to perform trouble shooting, repair and testing of the items listed above in a timely fashion. Interested organizations who feel they possess the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the Government the following information; point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, email address, duns number, cage code and or tax ID number, as well as size category (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc) a brief summary of the company's capabilities, description of facilities, personnel, related manufacturing experience, and existing safety approvals. Also provide any supporting information such as commercial literature, catalogues, manuals, etc. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must meet these criteria. This effort shall progress according to the following schedule. White Papers responses to this Notice are due on or before 8 August 2016. White papers will be reviewed and the offerors notified of acceptability within 30 days after the Notice deadline. This sources sought synopsis does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. All information marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to non-government personnel and entities. Your interest in this response is appreciated.
