SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15 is conducting market research to help determine the availability and technical capabilities of qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors who can deliver and install murphy beds to the Kansas City VAMC. POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: 1) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, NAICS code(s), business size (i.e. small/large), and DUNS Number. 2) Statement of Capability that demonstrates ability of providing the item in accordance with the attached Statement of Requirement (SOR) and past performance in providing this type of service. Include examples of prior completed Government contracts, references, and other related information. This notice is to assist the NCO 15 in determining sources only. This announcement is not a request for proposals or quotations. The Government is not committed to award a contract pursuant to this announcement. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in the preparation or submission of information in response to this announcement. Questions and responses must be submitted no later than 10:00 a.m. (CDT) on July 22, 2016 to Yvonne Kittling at yvonne.kittling@va.gov. Any proprietary information should be clearly identified as "proprietary information Statement of Requirement (SOR) Overall Finished Sizes: Elevation A -13'- ¾"w x 8'-7 ¾"h x 1'-6"d Ceiling height 8'-7 ¼" Maximum depth of unit not to exceed 95" with openings fold down Total= 13'- ¾"w Linear Feet Openings/cabinets (5) Demountable Millwork: "Demountable millwork must include: "Full size bariatric rated murphy bed "Desk "Shelf for sleep monitoring equipment "Wardrobe with rod for patient items "Locking wardrobe with shelving for clinical supply "Full size bariatric bed opening should be 59 ½"w x 75"l with a minimum weight load of 750lbs. "The full size bariatric bed must fit a standard full size mattress. "Drop down desk 3'-0"w x 2'-0"d with a minimum weight load of 50lbs. "Flip down shelf 1'-0"d x 1'-6"w. "Wardrobe with doors and center spine/divider, 1 side non-locking with a clothing rod and 2nd side with a lock and shelving to secure clinical supplies. "All millwork openings must have pulls and soft opening/closure devices to facilitate opening/closing. "The product must be the same product and finish as existing modular walls at the KCVA for future remodels so the parts will be compatible. "Demountable millwork that is completely reconfigurable and any/all parts replaceable. "The demountable millwork should be a durable thermofoil in a light woodgrain finish to coordinate with other demountable millwork and the existing room finishes. "The bariatric bed opening should have embedded lights for patient/clinical use that plug into a standard outlet. "Demountable millwork must have penetrations made onsite to allow access to outlets/data as required. "Millwork must have the capability to terminate the outlets and data drops in them. "Existing outlets and conduit must be considered, left fully accessible, and finished around appropriately. "All products must have a warranty of 10 years or better. Installation/ Protection and Acceptance: Installation: "Installation to occur on a concrete wall with external conduit. "Existing outlets need to be accessible with penetrations as required. "Installation will need to occur over a weekend, on a prearranged date that is determined by the Interior Design office in coordination with the clinical service to minimize disruption of patient appointments. "Install demountable securely and anchor to the ceiling to form a rigid installation. "Installation will in no way block or hinder medical procedures going on at the KCVA campus. "Clean up any messes caused by the installation process. "Hardware and accessories: Install hardware and other accessories as required for a secure and operational installation.
