- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District will be issuing an Invitation For Bids (IFB) to solicit for and award a contract for whole building renovation of Building 47 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The Government proposes to issue a firm fixed price type contract for this project. Sealed bids from all Woman Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) business concerns will be accepted for the Renovate Building 47 Project, Solicitation Number W912DQ-16-B-4002, located at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The scope of this contract would be a whole building renovation, to include mechanical, electrical, architectural, structural changes to accommodate floor plan changes. Building 47 is over 50 years old but historic concern is mostly limited to exterior appearance as adjacent to its landmark district. Building 47 size is approximately 14,654 square feet. Some site work related to sidewalks and relocation of parking spots too close to the building may be involved. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) codes and applicable size standards include but are not limited to: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Bid documents should be issued on or about August 4, 2016. Bid due date and location will be specified on the SF 1442, Block 13a of the Solicitation. Check the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov) for availability of bid documents. Register as an interested vendor to automatically be notified by email when a document is added or updated. All responsible WOSB sources may submit a bid which shall be considered. Questions will be submitted and answered via ProjNet as indicated in the Bid announcement. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart part 4.1102, prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. SAM registration is available online at the SAM website at http://sam.gov/ Annual Representations and Certifications (by FAR 52.204-8 -Jan 2014) must be filled-in online at http://sam.gov/. The required Annual Form Vets-100 must also be filled-in online at https://vets100.dol.gov per FAR 52.222-37. For security reasons, individuals requiring access to the Federal Building must present a valid photo ID and be escorted to their destination by a Government employee. Due to security considerations, all visitors attending bid openings are urged to arrive early enough prior to the scheduled bid opening for in-processing. A Government employee will escort all bidders to the bid opening.
