- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)/Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS)/National Veterinary Stockpile Facility in Kansas City, MO intends to award a sole source, five year (IDIQ) Contract for Universal (briefcase/pistol grip style) Captive Bolt Kits and Powerload charges to Bunzl Processor Division, LLC, DUNS: 007169634, CAGE Code: 82544 Description of Items: Item 001 Captive Bolt Kits, Cash Special Dispatch Kit (Bunzl item number 406741221) Item 002.25 Powerload cartridges, Blue or Orange but also Pink Yellow or Black if necessary for captive bolt kits, 1,000 per box. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1The statutory authority is 41 U.S.C. 253( c )(1) The property or services needed are available from only one responsible qualified source at this time and no other type of property or services will satisfy these needs. USDA APHIS NVSL needs to ensure that they purchase the exact same captive bolts for optimum guarantee of form fit and function due to all the agency training being conducted nationwide. The National Veterinary Stockpile currently has 300 of these Universal (briefcase/pistol grip style) Captive Bolt Kits in inventory Kit Requirements - The Contractor shall equip government personnel to diagnose, fix, and restore systems on-site. Repair Parts and Special Tools (RPSTL): The Contractor shall identify and provide any special Support equipment / Special Test Equipment (SE / STE). The contractor shall provide updates to the list with engineering changes and safety issues as applicable. The list shall include any applicable repair parts for the contractor deems necessary for the list. Maintenance: The Contractor shall provide maintenance demonstration, instruction, video and written manuals. Warranty: Units shall be warranted for one year and replaced at no cost to the Government. Documentation: The Contractor shall provide 1 hard copies plus one electronic (pdf) version of the assembly/disassembly, operation, maintenance, storage, and cleaning manuals prior to delivery of any system and will also include an operations/maintenance manual as part of the kit. The Contractor shall assist the government in processing discrepancy reports, maintenance requests, warranty forms, quality deficiency reports, and equipment improvement recommendations. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services to the Contract Specialist listed on this notice by 4:00pm. Mountain Time (MT) on the closing date of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339999-All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing. The Small business size standard is 500 Employees. Responses received after the response date or without the required information will be deemed nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered.
