- The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to contract with the American Nurses Credentialing Center, Inc. (ANCC) for the procurement of Pathway to Excellence ® a Nurses Accreditation Program for the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. The accreditation process is to take place during the month of November and reports due no later than December 31, 2016. Program will include 240 Acute and Long Term Beds, along with Outpatient Visits reported from Primary Care and two local Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). The proposed contract is for services for which the government intends to contract on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 3:00 PM, August 5, 2016, local time. Interested parties must submit all technical information required to make a determination that the proposed services meet or exceed the specifications noted above. Responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. System for Award management (SAM): Rule requires a firm to be registered in the SAM Registration Database (SAM) and ORCA (www.bpn.gov) prior to award of any contract and agreements. Firms must register on a one-time basis, and annually confirm accuracy and completeness of registration information. To register in SAM go to: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM. An initial market research survey was performed, via VetBiz, to establish if there were any Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses that were capable of providing this service; only received negative responses were received. If you are a certified SDVOSB or SDVOSB and can perform Nursing Accreditation services, please provide your company's capabilities statement and proof of verification as a SDVOSB or VOSB.
