- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, Md. intends to negotiate and award a sole-source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to Rockwell Collins, Inc. (RCI), 400 Collins RD NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52498 for activities to support: (1) AN/ARC-210(V) EP radio and its supporting equipment, repair or modification of AN-ARC-210(V) EP radios, components, and/or support equipment, technical documentation for the AN/ARC-210(V)EP Radios, components, and support equipment, development/modification of support equipment equipment for the AN/ARC-210(V) EP radios, acquisition logistics support (ALS) and supportability analysis with ALS data or suppor equipment, training support and training equipment, technical manuals and source data. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirements". RCI is the sole designer, manufacturer, and supplier of the AN/ARC-210 radios. The Government does not possess adequate data or the rights necessary to competively award this requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS> No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to closing date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. No phone inquiries will be entertained. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in a future procurement.
