Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Organization intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Chadwick-BaRoss, a small business, of 15 Katrina Road, Chelmsford, MA 01824 for a Prinoth/Bombardier Model SWS4 snow removal vehicle. Chadwick-BaRoss is the sole source distributor for Prinoth who is the manufacturer of said product. The Department of Veterans Affairs currently owns a Prinoth 1991 snow removal vehicle. This vehicle is well beyond its optimum performance level and a new SWS4 is vital to the operations of the Boston, MA VA Healthcare System. Chadwick is in a position to provide this required equipment and accept the current snow removal vehicle as a trade. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 08/12/2016 @ 2:00pm. Responses should be sent to James.Corbett2@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
