- Description
- The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) seeks information on vendors that are capable of providing a High Speed Transient Recorder and Data Acquisition System meeting the requirements discussed below. The purpose of this notice is to identify organizations capable of providing equipment which meets these requirements. This announcement is not a Request for Proposals or Quotes (RFP/RFQ) and does not commit the Government to award a contract now or in the future. The information contained in this notice is DRAFT only and as such, is subject to change prior to issuance of a solicitation. No solicitation is available at this time. After results of this market research are obtained and analyzed, NIST may conduct a competitive or non-competitive procurement and subsequently award a contract. If at least two qualified small business sources are identified during this market research stage, and they are proposing equipment which complies with the Non-Manufacturer Rule standards/exceptions, this acquisition may be solicited as a small business set aside. NIST is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large and small businesses (SB, SDB, WOSB, HUB Zone, SDVOSB and VOSB). This requirement is assigned a NAICS code of 334513 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. Interested business organizations that believe they may be capable of meeting NIST's desired specifications detailed below should provide a capability statement demonstrating the ability of the Contractor's equipment to meet all of NIST's requirements. Contractors may provide supplemental information within this document or as an attachment at their discretion. NIST requires a Gen 3i high speed transient recorder and data acquisition system to read the analog voltage from strain gages, extensometers, thermocouples, and load cells at 100 Million Samples per second using the GN412 4 channel differential input card. The Gen 3i high speed transient recorder and data acquisition system must meet the following specifications: (Vendor must bid all of none) •8GB RAM •Ethernet connections o 3 - RJ45 1 Gbit/s, 1 - RJ45 with IEEE588 support 1 Gbit/s o 1 SFP optical Ethernet with IEEE588 support 1 Gbit/s •Wake on LAN connection •Wireless LAN 801.11b/g/n with 54, 100, and 300 Mbit/s o Option to disable Wireless LAN •450 GB RAM with capability for up to 200 MB/s continuous streaming •1280 x 1024 touchscreen 15" min for controlling system and visual output from sensors. o Software and license to control acquisition parameters, program recording parameters, view real-time data. o Capability to control/read from daq using external computer o Integrated PC with mouse and keyboard o Analysis of signals to add, subtract, multiply, and divide channels o Calculations of max, min, and RMS of channel recording o Capability to export recorded data in multiple formats to include ASCII and csv o Front panel controls: direct record, start, stop, pause, and trigger control o Capability to perform Fast Fourier Transform of data o Support for additional monitors •At least 3 acquisition card slots that allow communication between transient recorder and instrumentation. •Acquisition card o Compatible with proprietary communication protocols found in HBM Gen 3i and Gen 5i high speed transient recorders and data acquisition systems. o 4 analog channels o Balanced differential inputs o +/- 20 mV to =/- 100 V input ranges o User selectable filters: wideband, Bessel analog, Bessel IIR filters o 100 MS/s sample rate o 14-bit resolution at maximum sampling rate. o 1.8 Gbyte memory o Single ended BNC inputs o Trigger capability .up to 400/s, and manual trigger from software .external trigger
