- 42 SFS Access Controls SoR Schneider Electric Policy Letter Intent to Sole Source 42 SFS Access Controls This notice of intent is not a request for quotes and no solicitation is available. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL hereby gives a notice of intent to award this acquisition as a sole source award to Alabama Controls, Inc. 50 Commerce Dr, Pelham, Alabama 35124 for the purchase of Access Controls at 42nd SFS, Maxwell AFB. Schneider Electric is the sole proprietor of the Andover Contiuum Controller Software and Alabama Controls is the only authorized representative in the state of Alabama allowed to perform work on this system. Description of the Requirement: The contractor must provide the items as specified in accordance with the following CLIN structure. As implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.405-6(a) (1) (B), only one source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of work to satisfy agency requirements. This will be a firm-fixed price contract for a base year only. If there are any other businesses that can provide the specified services, they must respond to this notice before 22 August 2016 at 4:00pm Central Standard Time (CST). Firms responding to this intent to sole source are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company's full name, business size, address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the item the government is seeking. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice. If no responses are received by the above referenced date/time a sole source contract will be awarded to Alabama Controls, Inc. Contract award is subject to the availability of funds.
