Pre-solicitation Notice RFQP0700NAS161034 Product Service Code: 8415. NAICS code: 315220 Formal Outer Garment Carriers (external vest carriers) Contracting Office Address: Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons, National Acquisitions and Systems Section, 320 First Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20534 THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION FOR RFQP0700NAS161034. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (Bureau), Central Office, Administration Division, Acquisitions Branch, National Acquisitions Section, located in Washington, DC 20534, anticipates issuance of solicitation for the possible award of a Firm fixed priced Indefinite-Delivery, Requirement type contract for Formal Outer Garment Carriers(external vest carriers. Currently the BOP has 122 institutions, with approximately 38,000 employees throughout the contiguous United States, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. The contract shall consist of a Base Year and four 12 month option years. This national contract is being established to ensure the quality and uniformity of required Formal Outer Garment Carriers(external vest carriers)for our staff throughout the Bureau of Prisons facilities. The Formal Outer Garment Carriers(external vest carriers)shall be compatible and be able to carry the Armor Express and Survival Armor Level IIIA stab-resistant vests. This solicitation will be set-aside for small businesses. The possible Award will be made to the offeror whose price is lowest among all proposals that were deemed to be technically acceptable (LPTA). The Contractor shall furnish the necessary materials for the estimated number of Formal Outer Garment Carriers (external vest carriers). The Performance Period for this requirement is for an 11 month base period to begin November 1, 2016 and 4 option periods as follows: Base: November 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 Option Period 1: October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018 Option Period 2: October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019 Option Period 3: October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020 Option Period 4: October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021 The following represent estimated quantities only. Actual quantities may vary. Base Year: 16,000 Formal outer garment carriers Option Year 1: 2,000 Formal outer garment carriers Option Year 2: 2,000 Formal outer garment carriers Option Year 3: 2,000 Formal outer garment carriers Option Year 4: 2,000 Formal outer garment carriers The solicitation RFQP0700NAS161034 will be distributed solely through the Government Point of Entry (GPE) Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ on or after August 12, 2016.
