- Medical Education Technologies, Inc. (METI) maintenance of manikin simulators/ CAE Original Equipment Manufacturer Program non-Full Time Employee Service Agreement User 711th HPW/OPM requiring office need uninterrupted non-personal services delivered in accordance with one year extended non-Full Time Employee non-personal services agreement to maintain and repair Government owned medical manikin simulator equipment used during field training exercises to enhance Aeromedical Evacuation (AE) training realism for military members assigned to specific AE trauma response unit types, Critical Care Air Transport Team (CCATT) and Expeditionary Medical Support (EMEDS). The Government acquired from CAE Healthcare /METI original equipment manufacturer for model iStan, ECS, and HPS manikins at Centers for Sustainment of Trauma and Readiness Skills (C-STARS) at St. Louis, C-STARS Baltimore, C-STARS Cincinnati and CCATT Wright Patterson AFB OH provide mission critical care nurses in-depth training regarding EMEDS specialized skill sets. The mission of EMEDS is to train all medical personnel to perform their specialized functions in downrange medical environments. Availability of patient manikins enable military medical achieve the mission of CCATT and EMEDS. The estimated price for this original equipment manufacturer one year extended service agreement totals $133,462.73. There are no options. The Model numbers/serial numbers of manikins maintained and repaired four locations are set forth as follows: SOLICITATION NUMBER FA8601-16-T-0366 The United States Air Force, AFLCMC/Operational Contracting Division, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-5344. This is a Sole Source synopsis published for informational purposes only. This proposed action is to purchase of a one year non-Full Time Employee Service Agreement provide non-personal services, maintenance and repair of Medical Education Technologies, Inc. (METI) originally manufactured patient manikin simulators. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This proposed procurement will be a Sole Source under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 811219 is $20,500,000. The solicitation number is FA8601-16-T-0366. Government requires maintenance and repair of Medical Education Technologies, Inc. (METI) originally manufactured patient manikin simulators for one year. The only known source that can meet the Government's requirements is CAE Healthcare Inc. wholly owned company METI. The purchase is to maintain and repair patient manikin simulators required for critical care nurses in-depth training of specialized skill sets of Expeditionary Medical Support (EMEDS) that enable all medical personnel to perform their specialized functions in austere downrange medical environments. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, quotation or exception to the intent to purchase on a sole source basis, which shall be considered by the Government if received within five (5) days of this notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Department of Defense (DoD) has determined the Systems Award Management System (SAM) to be the single DoD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the DoD.
