Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, 1700 East 38th Street, Marion, IN 46953, intends to solicit offers for the installation of a commercial dishwasher, with minimum qualifications: Contractor shall provide equipment meeting the specifications below within 30 days of contract award. The contractor shall disassemble, and remove the current Hobart FT900 dish machine system to our loading dock to remain Government property. Contractor shall un-package, assemble, install and perform a full functionality check of the new installed system. Contractor will dispose of debris in onsite dumpster. The installation shall be conducted during normal business hours (8:00am to 4:30pm) over an estimated 2 week period which will be mutually agreed upon. After installation the contractor shall train facility employees on the proper use and maintenance of the system. The facility will be responsible for the maintenance and upgrade (if needed) to current utility connections. Below are the necessary requirements: Temperatures per VHA Handbook 1109.4Wash: 150? Fahrenheit Rinse: 160? Fahrenheit Final Rinse: 180? Fahrenheit Motor HorsepowerPrewash: >3 HP Wash: >3.5 HP Rinse: >3.5 HP Water Usage7,500 dishes/hour Power Supply480/60/3 (HV) Belt Width?30" Other Key Features/Additional Components Dish machine to have an alert and automatic process to delime the entire machine (including booster heater) which is programmed based on site water conditions. This ensures the machine is consistently delimed (not too little or too often). Dish machine to have an automated process to clean the machine between shifts and/or at the end of the day. -Auto-delime -Auto-clean -Dual rinse -Variable speed conveyor -Electric Booster Heater -Insulated Doors -Easy to read temperature display per VHA Handbook 1109.4 -Blower Dryer -Scrap baskets -Ability to be operated with only 2 FTE -Water Softening System -Waste Disposal System oHands free operation oDoes not necessarily need to be a disposer; can be a collector -Separate 24" module between the load platform and the prewash containing upper and lower pre-rinse arms -Soil is automatically pre-rinsed from the ware and pumped to an external scrap basket located in load section -Prevents more than 75% of food scraps from entering pre-wash; therefore no need to manually pre-rinse by operator -Wash water stays cleaner longer reducing water changes by 50% -Automated process that allows the operator to leave the machine once engaged saving more than 45 minutes of cleaning time -Operator engages the auto clean by sliding the capless wash arms open, dumps the strainer baskets, opens the drains, and starts the cycle. -Auto clean system flushes debris from wash arms, independent spray nozzles located in the chamber spray fresh water to wash down all interior surfaces removing food soil from all surfaces and curtains. Once complete the machine drains and shuts down; ready for next day use -Less than 10 minutes of operator time keeps machine sanitary Contractors that can provide the above items that meets the minimum specifications above are requested to send their 1.
