Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) intends to award Firm Fixed Price Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) for a period of 60 months on a sole source basis to; Abbott Laboratories Inc., Academy Medical L.L.C, American Purchasing Medical Depot, Avkare Inc., Biotronik Inc., Boston Scientific Inc., Buffalo Supply Inc., Cook Medical Inc., Depuy Synthes, Edwards Lifesciences Corporation, Encore Inc., Endologix Inc., Medtronic Inc., Nuvasive Inc., Smith & Nephew Inc., St. Jude Medical Inc., Stryker Inc., W.L. Gore & Associates Inc. and Zimmer/Biomet Inc. The products required under these BPA's are for Prosthetic Implant Appliances and Associated Accessories Inc. These BPA's are being procured under the authority of 38 U.S. Code § 8123 - Procurement of Prosthetic Appliances, the Secretary may procure prosthetic appliances and necessary services required in the fitting, supplying, and training and use of prosthetic appliances by purchase, manufacture, contract, or in such other manner as the Secretary may determine to be proper, without regard to any other provision of law. All Prosthetic Appliance must be FDA approved before being authorized to be included on each contractors catalog listing. The applicable NAICS Codes are 339112, Surgical and Medical Instruments Manufacturing business size standard 1,000 employees and 339113 Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing business size standard is 750 Employees. This notice of intent is not a request for proposal. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the Government's discretion.
