- Synopsis Brand Name or equal to Ion Chromotography specifications Description 1. Ion chromatography is used to separate cations, anions and polar compounds. Operational Requirements 1. Pump Operating Pressure: 0-35 MPa (0-5000 psi) Flow Rate Range: 0.00-5.00 mL/min without changing pump heads Flow Precision: <0.1%, typically Flow Accuracy: <0.1%, typically Pressure Ripple: <1% at 13.8 MPa (2000 psi) and 1.0 mL/min. 2. The pump should be capable of operating at an upper limit 0-35 MPa or 0-5000 psi in one unit (MPa or psi) increments without changing pump heads. Technical Specifications 1. Chemically inert, metal-free PEEK pump heads and flow paths compatible with aqueous eluents of pH 0-14 and reversed-phase solvents 2. Flow precision should be <0.1% and flow accuracy should be <0.1%. 3. The system should accommodate analytical columns of length up to 250 mm with a 50-mm guard column. 4. The system should include systems for chemical and/or electrolytic suppression. 5. 2, 3, 4, and 5 mm i.d.; maximum length 250 mm analytical column with 50 mm guard column 6. The system should include an autosampler for independent operation. 7. Conductivity Detector Electronics and Flow Cell a. Type: Microprocessor-controlled digital signal processor b. Cell Drive: 8 kHz square wave c. Linearity: 1% up to 1 mS d. Resolution: 0.00238 nS/cm e. Full-Scale Output Ranges: Digital signal range 0-15000 μS f. Analog signal range 0-15000 μS g. Electronic Noise: ±0.1 nS when background conductivity is 0-150 μS/cm h. ±2 nS when background conductivity is 151-3200 μS i. Filter: Rise times from 0 to 10 s, user selectable j. Temperature Compensation: Fixed at 1.7% per 1 °C at cell temperature k. Temperature Range: Ambient +7 °C, 30 to 55 °C l. Cell Electrodes: Passivated 316 stainless steel; compatible with MSA m. Cell Body: Chemically inert polymeric material n. Cell Volume: <1 μL o. Heat Exchanger: Inert, tortuous path for low axial dispersion p. Maximum Cell Operating Pressure: 10 MPa (1500 psi) 8. The system should be fully controlled through the front panel and the instrument control software data system. 9. 100-240 V ac, 50-60 Hz autoranging. Accessories 1. Suitable cation exchange analytical column (250 mm X 4 mm) or equivalent. 2. Suitable anion exchange analytical column (250 mm X 4 mm) or equivalent. 3. Automatic control vacuum degass. Documentation 1. User/Technical/Maintenance manuals to be supplied in English. 2. Certificate of calibration and inspection. 3. List of equipment available for providing calibration and routine Preventive Maintenance Support as per manufacturer documentation in service/technical manual. 4. List of important spare parts and accessories with their part number and costing.
