- Description
- 1. This paragraph states "collection and disposal of brine waste water". Can you please explain the intent of "collection"? Is the waste already containerized and is the term collection intended to mean load for transport and disposal? - Collection is intended to mean load for transport and disposal. 2. The Schedule in section B.2 lists the Quantity as "50" and the Unit as "EA" and in section B.3, par. 2 it states "pick up brine waste water" but does not describe how it is being stored. Can you please provide the means that this material is being stored so we can be more precise in our estimation for the handling of this material and for providing pricing to the schedule? - The waste brine is stored in an underground tank. 3. "Response Time": How will the requests for service de delivered? "HOLIDAYS": Historically has there been any requests that would require services to be rendered on a National Holiday and do you think there might be a need for these services to be rendered on a National Holiday? -The request for service to pick up brine waste. Pickup is usually no more than 2 days from the request for pickup, some days same day service for pickup. Request will be made via phone or any other means the vendor recommends 4. Historically, when a request is ordered what is the typical quantity called for? This will assist us in narrowing down the transportation cost associated to the order. - We generally have a typical pickup for disposal of 6000-7000 gallons. 5. With the Schedule it lists the Estimated Quantity as "50" and the Unit as "EA", is it the intention of the Contracting Office that this is to mean there will be an estimated 50 orders placed to perform a pick-up? - Estimated at 50 calls 6. In addition, our tankers have a capacity of 5000 gallons and if the order was placed for 6000 - 7000 gallons each we would need to dispatch 2 tankers per order. - "Each" is in reference to each service call, if the vendor requires multiple tankers it would still be considered as one (1) service call. 7. Would it be acceptable to limit an order Unit to mean "not to exceed 5000 gallons"? - A unit limit will not be placed 8. Can the facility advise as to whether there have historically been any orders placed on a Holiday? - Typically there are no calls for service on a holiday 9. Will the facility allow a visit to review the site and collect a sample for analysis? - A site visit is not scheduled nor is an analysis is necessary to provide a quote.
