Notice Type:Special Notice - Intent to Sole Source Description:Campus Arc Flash and Short Circuit Labels The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 12, VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) intends to solicit from only one (1) source, INDUSTRIA, INC., to provide an Arc Flash Analysis at the Jessie Brown VA Medical Center by providing a continuation of prior contracted services at the following at the following Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, in Chicago, Illinois: a.Data Collection by site surveying the existing electrical risers and electrical equipment. Spot check accuracy 15% of all panels. Coordinate with COR for panels and risers to be spot checked. b.Provide Short Circuit Analysis and report c.Provide device Coordination Analysis on all equipment and changes to OCP settings to comply with the study and report d.Provide Arc Flash Analysis and report e.Provide Arc Flash Incident Energy Labels meeting NFPA 70E and affix on all electrical distribution and panels f.Provide single line diagram of all risers, by building. g.Provide location of electrical distribution on plan. Conduit runs excluded. h.Provide engraved nameplates on OCPs for just the 5kv-208 or 480 substations in building 1 and 11. This requirement is restricted and set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. The requirement NAICS code is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction This Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a solicitation or a request for quotations. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government and must include a capabilities statement clearly demonstrating that the interested vendor is capable of fully completing these services. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 p.m., Central Standard Time (CST) on Friday, August 19, 2016. Responses must be directed to the Contracting Officer at claude.humphrey@va.gov with the subject line referencing this FBO Special Notice. ?
