It is not a solicitation. Statement of need: The Department of Veterans Affairs New York/New Jersey Healthcare System (VISN 3) has an ongoing need to provide Ramps, Stairlifts and Vertical Platform Lifts to our Veteran population. Consistent with Public Law 109-461, VISN3 is seeking Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Manufacturers/Distributors to provide the following items "Threshold Ramps, "Portable Ramps, "Modular Ramps, "Stairglides/Chairlifts, "Vertical Platform Lifts, "any other type of Home use, permanent install Ramp/Lift system General Specifications 1.The SDVOSB Contractor: a.Must be able to provide all parts and labor to install an ADA compliant modular ramp/ lift system. b.Must be licensed/Certified (if applicable) to work inside private residential homes to take measurements, installation, and follow-up. c.Installation services (if provided by a sub-contractor) must be provided by a registered and licensed installer located within a 50 mile radius of the patient's zip code. d.Must be able to provide new Ramp/Lift Systems. i.Only new parts are authorized for VHA Ramp/Lift Systems. Any use of previously used parts is strictly prohibited. Local Geographic Area: VISN3 is seeking SDVOSB manufacturers and/or distributors within 50 miles of at least one of these VAMC locations: Bronx, NY 10468; Brooklyn, NY 11209; Castle Point, NY 12511; East Orange, NJ 07018; Lyons, NJ 07939; Montrose, NY 10548; New York, NY 10010; Northport, NY 11768; St. Albans, NY 11425 NAICS Codes: Ramp/Lift Systems purchased for home-use are covered by (butnot limited to) the following categories: 333921;336214;339113;423450;446199;485991;532291;561990 Capability or performance: All contractors and staff provided to sell and install these items must be fully accredited, certified and licensed in the states of New York, and New Jersey as applicable and required by law. Type of Procurement: The responses to this Request for Information (RFI) will help determine the universe of eligible SDVOSB contractors realistically able to bid on future procurements. Contract Vehicle: VISN3 anticipates soliciting these Ramp/Lift requirements via individual RFQs for each patient with the large majority of awards ranging from $3,500 to $15,000.
