- Description
- The MICC Fort Rucker Contracting Office intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Frequentis USA to provide an Interim Voice Replacement System (IVSR) to replace the voice switch at 1-11th Ft. Rucker, Alabama. This will enable all IVSR systems to be compatible with the current equipment installed, maintained and programmed by Frequentis USA at all base/stage fields at Ft. Rucker, AL. All ATC voice communications go through the voice switch. This includes radios, telephone, direct lines and tower door release. This purchase order will be issued under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The intent of this procurement is to award based on Sole Source acquisition. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-48 effective 31 January 2011 and DFARS DPN 20110311 effective 11 March 2011. North American Industry Classification System Code for this requirement is 334220 and the size standard is 1,250 employees. The government intends to evaluate and award without discussions on this requirement. The intent is to award based on sole source. Quotes are not being requested and written solicitation will not be used. Basis of sole source is compatibility of interim voice switch equipment at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
