All offers must work with existing equipment that has already been purchased and is currently in use at the station and also to meet standardization requirements throughout the hospital. Multi Myograph System The Research Service of the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital is requesting the procurement of a Danish MyoTechnology (DMT) Multi-Myograph system for the evaluation of vascular structure and function for the purposes of VA CDA-2 and Merit-funded projects at Harry S Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital. Multiple research programs at the Harry S Truman VA currently perform these analyses using a 4-channel DMT multi-myograph system purchased with ShEEP funds in 2013. This original system has proven invaluable for current labs in the Truman VA and, as such, has become heavily used. With the addition of several new cardiovascular research programs at this facility, however, scheduling conflicts between labs regularly arise for this equipment thus impeding data collection and research progress. Conflicts arise mainly since multiple channels are needed at one time for most day-long experimental designs therefore often precluding other labs from using the system. To resolve this problem we are requesting that a second 4-channel DMT multi-myograph system be procured to provide a total of 8 channels for experiments (including the existing 4 channel system). Acquisition of this system would enhance research efficiency, productivity, grant competitiveness, and our understanding of how vascular structure and function are altered in models of cardiovascular disease.
