Description

The Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center has a requirement for project 642-13-120, Installation SPEC/CT. This project shall require the contractor to install SPEC/CT for the hospital. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, tools, supervision, equipment, permits, and testing. The work shall include general construction, alterations, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, structural, dunnage, utility system, necessary removal of existing finishes and construction as indicated on drawings and specification and certain other items. The contractor shall perform the work in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Refer to the project drawings, specifications, and price schedule contained in the solicitation for details of the scope of work for this contract. This requirement is an IFB is 100% set aside for Small Business. The magnitude of this VA construction project is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The Period of Performance will be 365 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. Solicitation documents, including scope of work, will be available electronically on or about 9-2-2016, at the following website: www.fbo.gov Interested parties can search for solicitation VA244-16-B-1420 to access solicitation documents and any amendments. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE WEBSITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS. Firms must be small business under relevant North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code and the must be registered and current in the following websites: https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/#1 The NAICS code for this project is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $36.5 Million. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held within two weeks after issuance of the solicitation. The exact date/time/location of the conference will be specified in the solicitation. By submission of a bid package, the contractor acknowledges the requirements that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management, (SAM), database prior to award. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at. https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ Ensure your registration is correct, current and has not expired.
