- Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. The Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 3, Network Contracting Office 3 (10N3NCO) is currently conducting a market survey for firms capable of providing the following service: Title: PTSD Therapy Retreat for Veterans Background: This retreat is necessary for the therapeutic benefit of the PTSD veterans. Vendor must have experience providing this service and staff must be knowledgeable and responsive to the needs of our Veterans. Scope of Work: The vendor must provide overnight PTSD therapy retreat for resident Veterans in the Mental Health Program at the Montrose Campus of the VA Hudson Valley HCS. This retreat is an essential component for the therapeutic treatment of the PTSD Veterans. Vendor's facilities must be located within 100 miles radius of distance to Montrose VA Medical Center. Vendor must provide safe, outdoor facilities that allow for specific therapeutic activities to foster trust, safety, mutual support and risk-taking, all areas that the Veterans suffering from PTSD have diminished capacity. The retreat will last for 3 days in September 2016. Frost Valley will provide meals and housing for approximately 21 participants, which includes PTSD veterans and VAHV HCS staff that are accompanying the veterans. PTSD Therapeutic Retreat services must include: "Meals "Housing "Trust building activities to develop self-confidence, courage and communicative "Rediscovering the importance of trust in each other and themselves "Development of interpersonal skills to learn to trust and support others "Recreating positive outlooks and communication "Develop an awareness and responsibility for the environment around them "Team building Obstacles courses "High challenge course elements "Therapy programs designs to the specific needs of PTSD Veterans Period of Performance: The contractor shall complete the work required under this SOW in 30 calendar days or less from date of award, unless otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). If the contractor proposes an earlier completion date, and the Government accepts the contractor's proposal, the contractor's proposed completion date shall prevail. Place of Performance: Performance shall be at the contractor's facility. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing via email and must be received not later than Thursday, August 25, 2016, 1:00pm EST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities for which you have provided services to, proof of applicable certification. DUNS number, address, point of contact and social-economic category (ex: SBVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small Business). If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM), formerly CCR (see internet site: http://www.sam.gov). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing, and received not later than Thursday, August 25, 2016, 1:00pm EST.
