Description

Request for Information - Nutrition and Food Services Menu Management Software The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Technology Acquisition Center is seeking sources to provide for Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Nutrition and Food Services Menu Management Software on a Firm-Fixed Price basis. The Contractor shall presently be compliant and have the ability to implement all software with a Clinical Information System (CIS) HL7 unidirectional interface with VISTA/CPRS EHR and the Nutrition Automated Information System (AIS) software within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) National System. The interface shall provide a link to the in-house patient database, VISTA, and shall be integrated with other VAMCs as necessary for shared services and production reports. The Contractor shall satisfy the requirements of the Class III Field Development process and shall pass all the technical reviews. The Contractor shall provide a test plan and test report for the testing of the HL7 interface software. The Contractor shall provide user manuals for the HL7 interface software. The software HL7 interface engine shall provide continuous data transmission from VISTA for data elements. Please see attached draft performance work statement for specific details. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. Do not submit a proposal or quote. It is requested that all companies interested in participating in this effort please note their interest and submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet this requirement. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered an Invitation for Bids, Request for Quotations, or a Request for Proposal. Additionally, there is no obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described in this RFI. Your response to this RFI will be treated only as information for the Government to consider. You will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that you incur in responding to this RFI. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by VA in developing its acquisition strategy and Statement of Work. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI.
