Description

MARKET RESEARCH/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS. This advertisement serves to aid in determining market interest and capabilities for this prospective requirement. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for market research purposes ONLY. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJAX) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of vendors for Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) which is an industrial facility that accomplishes rework, repair, and overhaul of various aircraft, engines, and components located at Naval Air Station Jacksonville (NAS Jax), Duval County, Florida. FLCJAX intends to issue a Request for Quote to General Electric (GE) certified sources of repair. The requirement consists of replacement of carbon seal material of the TF34-GE-100 Engine Power Take Off (PTO) bevel gear, part number 4048T27 drawings from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), GE. GE is the sole manufacturer with proprietary rights. Instructions for this repair are not available in the DEPOT maintenance manuals. The prints are only releasable to GE certified sources of repair. The proposed contract action is for supplies and/or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.501(a). It is anticipated that any resulting requirement would be solicited as a firm-fixed-price (FFP) requirements type contract, with a NAICS code of 488190 and size standard of $32.5 million dollars. Respondents are encouraged to provide proof that they are a current certified GE source of repair. The response date and time is 1600 EST, 26 August 2016. The Government will not pay or provide reimbursement for any costs incurred in the preparation or delivery of the request for information. Interested parties should send proof of certification via email to Contract Specialist, Maxine.lopez@navy.mil and Team Lead Contract Specialist, Darryl.turner@navy.mil. Potential sources must identify their business size/socio economic status (i.e., small business, large business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) certified business, woman-owned business, etc). Additionally, interested vendors shall provide a list of all current GSA/VA scheduled contracts (if applicable). If the contractor is currently providing or has previously provided identical support to a government agency other than FRCSE, then the contractor shall provide sufficient documentation, as part of the contractor ™s package, which will allow the Government to verify the contractor ™s information and determine the contractor ™s ability to provide the required support. Any questions regarding this requirement should be addressed in writing to both the Contract Specialist and Team Lead Contract Specialist. NOTE: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING A RESPONSE TO THIS REQUEST. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.
