- Under Statutory Authority  §41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1), the Department of Veteran Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with ScriptPro USA, Inc. Shawnee Mission, Kansas to provide service and maintenance on ScriptPro automated prescription dispensing systems and associated equipment. Services are required in order to keep the equipment in satisfactory operating condition. Services will be conducted at the Captain James A Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, IL. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 8.405-6, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price for a period of 04 months with four 12-month option periods. The NAICS Code is 541990. Service will include ongoing maintenance and technical support services for these units to include, but not limited to, software updates, virus protection interface upgrades, and replacement parts. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within three (3) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, Federal Health Care Center (FHCC), Building One, Room 326, 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, Illinois 60064-3048 or via fax to 224-688-3269, or via email to Richard.cable@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with contractor noted in paragraph one.
