The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334511 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 employees. The solicitation is expected to be released on or about September 21, 2016. This notice is related to previous FBO postings: N00024-15-R-5368, N00024-15-R-5369, and N00024-15-R-5415. The Velocimeter MK 5 MOD 0, a Radio Frequency (RF) Doppler radar, is a component of all United States Navy (USN) and U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Gun Computer System (GCS) MK 160 Variants deployed aboard Destroyer and Cruiser ship classes. The MK 5 Velocimeter is a single unit that consists of an antenna, RF transmitter, receiver, and electronics required to measure and process muzzle velocity of the fired 5-inch projectile. It is mounted externally on the non-recoiling section of the gun barrel, to measure and provide muzzle Initial Velocities (IVs) of the fired projectiles to the GCS via a bi-directional RS-232 serial link. The solicitation will be issued electronically via Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) at http://fbo.gov and interested parties must comply with that announcement. Interested offerors should monitor the FBO page for the release of the solicitation, and any applicable amendments.
