Description

2016 DISA/CERDEC Digital IF Technology Industry Day The primary goal of the Industry Day is to provide the audience with an understanding of the current status of Digital IF Technology. The sponsors and stakeholder agencies will present their interest in Digital IF Technology. The ANSI/TIA 5041 Open Standard Digital-IF Interface (OSDI) document defines the subsystem communications interfaces and message content for a class of digital intermediate frequency (IF), or "all digital," strategic or large fixed satellite communications (SATCOM) terminals. The standard is available from the IHS Markit Standards store: https://global.ihs.com/index.cfm?&rid=IHS&index_home=true The Government Interoperability Specification (IS) for OSDI ANSI/TIA 5041 will be made available to the community before the Industry Day. The Interoperability specification document states the top level requirements for Digital IF which enable derivative architecture interoperability and supports procurement of Digital IF equipment amongst government agencies, ensuring commonality, compatibility, and interoperability. The Industry Day workshop will provide companies interested in Digital IF Technology the opportunity to network, and meet with the workshop sponsors in separate small seminar sessions starting in the afternoon of the first day, 7 September 2016 and ending on the second day, 8 September.
