Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for market research purposes only to determine the availability of potential businesses with capabilities to provide the services described in the Statement of Work (SOW). Potential offerors are invited to provide information via e-mail to shawn.oneil1@va.gov. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition according to SOW. Potential contractors shall provide, at a minimum, the following information to shawn.oneil1@va.gov(one L then the number 1): 1) Name, address, point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address. 2) Brief capability statement with enough information to determine if the company can meet the requirement. The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a Request for Quote nor does restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather short statement regarding the company's ability to provide the service above. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the capabilities statement. 3) Documentation that the vendor is authorized to provide the requested fifteen (15) Verathon Bladder Scanners, Model BVI 9400 Remote Online Support and Calibration. The units are located at the VA Medical Center in Walla Walla, WA. The capabilities will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining to Set-Aside for the Small Business Community or to conduct as an Unrestricted Procurement. Other than small businesses may respond to this notice in the event the market does not indicate SB interest, however, preference will be given IAW VAAR 819.7004 Contracting Order of Priority. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of available contractors. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pays for information solicited. This synopsis is not a solicitation announcement for Request for Quote. No formal solicitation document exists at this time, and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. All interested contractors should notify this office via email by 5:00 PM (PDT) on September 8th, 2016. STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) 2. Contract Title. Verathon Bladder Scanner Service Contract. 3. Background. This is for PM and service support for our 15 model BVI 9400 Bladder scanner 4. Scope. This is for PM and service support for our 15 Verathon Bladder Scanners. This work is to include the ability to perform calibration of the devices over the internet. 5. Specific Tasks. "Remote calibration "Phone and on line support 6. Performance Monitoring This contract will be monitored by Biomedical Engineering 7. Security Requirements None REMINDER - the 2237 and SOW must be free of any patient information or personal protected or proprietary data such as spec sheets. No security clauses. Devices do not contain any sensitive information. 8. Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE)/Government-Furnished Information (GFI). N/A 9. Other Pertinent Information or Special Considerations. Physical access to the equipment will be limited and arrangements made for access to the equipment prior to the maintenance provider coming on site. If the work is performed is located in any sensitive area than the vendor will be accompanied by VA personnel that are authorized for that area and be observed during the course of that action. Any patient information that may be viewable in that area will be considered confidential and will not be exposed in any way by the contractor to any use other than for official VA approved uses. Not patient information will be taken off site. All USB and other removable media that may have patient information on it and that does not erase when turned off will be considered to be the property of the VA and will be left on site.. In addition the maintenance provider will be required to check into the biomedical, Facilities support or police departments and escorted while they are here. 10. Risk Control None 11. Place of Performance. Remote support of a system that is located at 77 Wainwright Drive, Walla Walla, WA, 99362 12. Period of Performance. From 10/1/2016 through 09/30/2017 with multiple renewal options. -
