- Description
- This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE of a proposed requirement to award one (1) Bruker BioSpin Skyscan 1176 High Resolution In-Vivo Micro-CT Scanning System with one (1) PC, an anesthesia system and 2 - 4mm diameter BMD rods, Or an equal item in accordance with the specifications. The proposed system shall provide a minimum of: - A sealed air cooled X-ray source between 20 - 90 kV, 15 micron spot size, and 25W max power. -An X-ray detector with a minimum 11 Megapixel (4000 X 2670) 12-bit cooled, digital CCD camera with fibre-optic coupling to scintillator. -6-positions automatic filter changer for energy selection: no filter, Al 0.2mm, Al 0.5mm, Al 1mm, Al 0.5mm + Cu 0.03mm, Cu 0.1mm (all filters > 99.9% purity). - Nominal resolution (detail detectability) : 9 / 18 / 35 micron -Low contrast spatial resolution: 15 micron (10%MTF) -Scanning diameter: 68mm or 35mm -Scanning length: up to 200mm by multiple, automatically connected scans, 20mm in one scan. -Reconstruction arrays: cross section format (isotropic grid): up to 4000 x 4000 for 35mm FOV and up to 8000 x 8000 pixels for 68mm FOV. - All scanners include Physiological Monitoring subsystem for real-time visual monitoring, movement detection, synchronization with breathing and heart activities and keeping stable preselected animal temperature. - Carbon composite beds for mouse (35mm), for rat (68mm) and bed 68mm with 580x470mm tray for large animals (rabbits), foam holders for ex-vivo and peripheral scanning - Special software module that provides GLP compliance. - System dimensions: 750mm W x 1700mm H x 1450mm D, 475kg (with single PC). - Radiation safety: < The PC specs shall provide: - 24'' UltraSharp LCD monitor, 1920x1200 native resolution, DVD/CD RW optical drive, keyboard, mouse, Internal speaker or soundbar. - Acquisition software for source and camera control, obtaining shadow images and angular projections for reconstruction, acquisition parameter control including different sets of measurement protocols. -GPU-accelerated reconstruction software ''NRecon'' for single PC (standard included) (XP SP2, Vista, Windows 7, 32/64bit, GPU acceleration for 64-bit computers) use modified Feldkamp multi-slice volumetric (cone-beam) reconstruction algorithm. -Hierarchical (InstaRecon) reconstruction software (Standard included) (Windows 7 or Vista, 64 bit) The hierarchical (InstaRecon) reconstruction software based on unique (non-Feldkamp) reconstruction algorithms. Provide speedups of 10x to >100x (higher for large image formats) compare to best other reconstruction software and 2x to 10x compare to GPU-accelerated reconstruction. The software shall work on standard CPUs without involvement of any specific hardware or graphical processors. All speed-ups made algorithmically and quickly increase compare to standard (Feldkamp) algorithm with increasing dataset sizes. -Visualization software ''DataViewer'' (standard included) The reconstructed set of slices shall be flexibly viewed in a ''Data Viewer'' program. Images are to be displayed as a slice-by-slice movie. -Format Converter ''TConv'' and ''DICOM converter'' (included or can be free download) The format converter utility ''TConv'' converts between TIFF, BMP and JPEG files with adjustment of colour palette, inversion, renaming, resizing and combining of datasets. -Morphological analysis software ''CTan'' (standard included) CTAn or ''CT-analyser'' measures comprehensive 2D and 3D morphometric parameters. -Realistic visualization by surface rendering ''CTvol'' (standard included) ''CTvol'' (CT-volume) provides viewing, intuitive manipulation and flexible control of 3D-model texture and transparency, plus a versatile moviemaker. -Realistic volume rendering software ''CTvox'' (standard included) The ''CTVox'' software also offers 3D visualization, based on a different approach (volume rendering, not surface rendering. The requirement includes delivery, installation, and integration with the current system. Line Item #DescriptionEst.
