- AEGIS Weapon System Sustainment & Logistics Contractor Response Criteria This is a sources sought announcement in accordance with FAR 15.201 and in anticipation of a potential future procurement. The Naval Sea Systems Command is conducting market research to determine industry capability and interest to support a requirement for performance of Depot Maintenance, Repairs and Operations and associated functions including, but not limited to, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Configuration Management (CM) for the AEGIS Weapon System (AWS). The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and a formal solicitation is not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government to issue an RFP, contract or order. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement, nor will the Government return any data provided. How to Submit: It is requested that interested businesses submit a brief capabilities statement, limited to a maximum of 8 pages in length (single-spaced, 12-point font minimum) that demonstrates the potential capacity to perform the contract services outlined in Appendix 1. The capability statement shall include the following information: (a) Company name (b) Address (c) Point of contact (d) Phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Cage Code (g) Tax ID Number (h) If a small business, identify type of small business (e.g., 8(a), HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, economically disadvantaged women-owned small business (EDWOSB), and women-owned small business (WOSB) under the WOSB Program) (i) Must provide a capability statement that clearly details the firm's ability to perform all aspects of this notice that addresses their organization's qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described in Appendix 1. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION, and multiple awards MAY be made. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. When/Where to Submit: Interested parties are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 1600 (EDT) 27 September 2016.
