Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE SOLICITATION # VA69D-16-B-1305 The contractor shall provide labor, materials, work equipment qualified supervision for the Upgrade Domestic Water System to 5th and 6th Floors project; VA project number 585-14-112. The project includes an upgrade to the current domestic water system that feeds the 5th & 6th floors so that all plumbing fixtures operate properly. The project consists of new water risers (hot, cold and hot water return) from the sub-basement up to the 7th floor were new booster pumps will be installed that will serve the 5th and 6th floor plumbing fixtures. Reference construction drawings and specifications prepared by Northern Design Works. Project duration is 120 days following Notice to Proceed. There will be ONE pre-bid conference/site walk-through held for this project and all prospective bidders are highly encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation package when it is posted. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. The SDVOSB firm must be verified in http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, to be eligible for award. Firms must also have current registrations with the System Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov and Vets 100 at http://www.dol.gov/vets/vets-100.html The solicitation will be issued on or about 28 September 2016 with the bid opening on or about 28 October 2016. Dissemination of the solicitation will be limited to electronic medium. All interested Bidders (primes & subcontractors) should register at www.fedbizopps.gov so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. By registering to "Receive Notification", you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers. All requests for information are to be submitted electronically to the Contracting Officer at mark.graveline@va.gov. Subject line of e-mail should read: VA69D-16-B-1305 Upgrade Domestic Water 5th & 6th Floor The project magnitude range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220 small business size standard of $15.0 million applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
