- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure on a non-competitive basis depot establishment capability of the 1939c Radio and accompanying Smart Mount and the Radio Tuning Panel of the P-8A aircraft. The procurement of depot-level maintenance and repair capabilities includes the manufacture and installation of all test equipment, associated tooling, fixtures, testing, training, technical data, and provisioning data, and engineering support requisite for maintenance and repair. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Rockwell Collins 400 Collins Way, Cedar Rapids, IA. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only responsible source to perform this effort. Rockwell Collins is the sole designer, developer, and provider of the 1939c Radio and accompanying Smart Mount and Radio Tuning Panel. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
