- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought publication only. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Please do not submit a proposal in response to this RFI. This notice is to assist the VA in the determination of sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Nebraska - Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS), is seeking potential Contractors capable of providing Neurophysiology Monitoring Services for the NWIHCS Medical Center, 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, NE 68105. These services are solely dedicated to Veteran patients of the Nebraska - Western Iowa Health Care System. Services to be provided include: Contractor will provide the following supplies, equipment, and personnel to be used in performing the services below: "Provide contract neurophysiologic monitoring technician(s) to be available for surgical procedures as determined by the attending physician. Surgeries are typically scheduled during the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The VA will pay only for actual services performed at the VA facility and will not pay for "on-call" or standby time. "Provide neurophysiologic monitoring services and evoked potential testing on an as needed basis for surgery patients. "Functional nerve monitoring unit(s)(NMU) "Technician(s) to operate NMU "Appropriate disposables for procedure "For surgical cases such as intra-operative neurophysiologic monitoring involving sensitive work in and around facial nerves "Set-up and operate NMU and interpret sensory readings "Services are to be conducted in the operating room and associated areas of the Omaha VA Medical Center (OVAMC) on a per case basis as determined by the Chief of Surgical Service. "Be sufficiently knowledgeable to test equipment prior to use and to make any adjustments in the equipment settings that are required. "Surgeon will notify the OR/Case Manager in Surgical Service when monitoring services are needed for a neurosurgical patient. The OR/Case Manager or appropriate designee will contact the Contractor with the request for monitoring. All changes to the proposed monitoring, to include date/time, type of monitoring, etc., will be conveyed by the OR/Case Manager or appropriate designee to the Contractor. "Maintain and service equipment routinely to ensure that the NMU is in the highest level of functioning condition without breakdowns, causing no delay to OVAMC patient procedures. Service records are to be maintained to document performance reports and will be furnished the Contracting Officer prior to the start of the contract and each option year thereafter. Additional Information: The VA seeks to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NAICS Code 621512, Diagnostic Imaging Centers; size standard of $15.0 Million. Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions and developing a potential procurement strategy. After review of responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the FedBizOpps website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond directly to any corresponding solicitation by submitting a proposal. The intended contract period will be for one base year and four, one-year option periods. Responses to this notice should include a company name, address, point of contact (Name, Phone Number and e-Mail Address), DUNS number, business size, Socioeconomic Status (Veteran Owned, SDVOSB, HUBZONE, 8(a), etc.), and a capability statement.
