Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond, VA intends to award a contract for Kyphon Express II Kyphoplasty Trays. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112 and small business size standard of 500 employees. This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses. The responses to this announcement will assist in determining the socio-economic set aside if feasible. The Department of Veterans Affairs is required by Public Law 109-461 to give first priority to SDVOSB and VOSB concerns if there should be sufficient firms available to compete under a set aside. If insufficient veteran owned and small business response is received to establish the basis for setting this action aside for other than large business participation then the action will be advertised as full and open competition, in which case, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to bid. Draft Statement of Work Scope of Work: The Contractor shall provide Kyphon Express II TM Tray 15/2 First Fracture minimum pressure rating of 700 psi for Interventional Radiology Kyphoplasty procedures, except as may otherwise be specified in this statement of work. Background: The contractor agrees to provide Kyphon Express II TM Tray 15/2 First Fracture minimum pressure rating of 700 psi and associated materials to VAMC as ordered and at the agreed upon price. A. Specific Requirements: 1) Contractor shall have an adequate supply of contract products Kyphon Express II TM Tray 15/2 First Fracture minimum pressure rating of 700 psi available to meet the requirements of the VAMC. 2) Contractor shall label all supplies with expiration date, etc. compliant with interventional radiology procedures. 3) The following item, Exact Match, is required: Part Number KEX152EB - Kyphon Express II Trays; Qty - 48 each Hours of delivery - 8:00AM - 4:30 PM, M-F, excluding federal holidays. It is expected that most services will be performed during normal hours. Period of Performance - October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 with four (4) pre-priced one year options for renewal. Place of delivery - Richmond VA Medical Center, Rec Whse, Bldg 500, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA 23249. (End of Draft SOW) This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
