- 1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purpose only. 1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336415 which has corresponding Size standard of 1250 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small business to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar procurement offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. 2. Program Details: This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis. The United States Air Force (USAF) is seeking potential contractors to provide Rocket-Assist Take-Off (RATO) motors, NSN: 1340-01-522-6689, and initiators, NSN: 1338-01-554-8565, for the Air Force Subscale Aerial Target (AFSAT) BQM-167A drone. The RATO motor is required to launch the AFSAT BQM-167A drone for training purposes. RFI Response Part 1 - Contractor Description Overview •1. Name of Company •2. Other suggested NAICS codes for this program and your size classification based on those codes •4. Company certifications (e.g., ISO-9001, ASI-9100, CMMI) •5. How would you intend to propose on this effort? (As a prime or subcontractor?) RFI Response Part II - Market Survey Questions •1. Briefly describe your company's experience providing the type of supplies identified in the program description to include identification of major program risks and techniques to be employed to mitigate these risks. (Maximum Page Limit: Six pages - please do not include business brochures [Title page containing, as a minimum, program title, date, and name and phone number of submitting activity Point of Contact does not count against page maximum]). •2. Have you provided this item to the Government before? If so, please provide a contract number(s). •3. Has the product you would be providing received certification to operate on the AFSAT drone? •4. Teaming arrangements or methodology to be employed to ensure requirements of the program description can be satisfied. (Maximum Page Limit: One page) Interested offerors should respond to this synopsis within 30 days following the publication of this notice. Responses must clearly demonstrate your capabilities and expertise. Responses to this notice will be used as part of the market research that will be used to develop the acquisition strategy to satisfy this potential requirement.
