Building 8 Polisher Replacement Philadelphia VAMC Provide labor and material necessary for one existing Eco dyne Carbon steel 24" condensate Duplex polisher, located in the boiler plant Building 8 Basement As follow: 1)Properly Lock out and Tag out all energy sources, Steam, condensate, electrical etc. concurrently with the Boiler plant operator on duty. 2)Divert the condensate return from the medical center concurrently with the plumbing foreman at 215-823-4127. Ensure no condensate return supplied to the polisher. 3)Demolish and properly dispose of one existing Eco dyne Duplex Condensate Polisher, complete with internal media, bine tank, supply and return piping, drain piping, stager motive water piping, and Electrical power 120 volt power supply.. 4)Provide and install one new Duplex Condensate Polisher to match Eco dyne part number HWS-243CALT2 or equal, complete with new brine tank, 2" carbon steel supply and return piping, Type L drain piping, and Type L copper mechanical air piping for stager motive. 5)Provide and install one new brine transfer pump, complete with new PVC piping, from existing brine inlet piping, located in the basement of Bldg. 8, to the new brine tank feed. Control the new pump with independent brine tank level float switch. 6)Rewire using existing conduit for 120 volt power for common control panel, and new conduit for 120 volt power for new brine transfer tank. 7)Provide and install new factory supplied resin into each vessel prior to start-up. 8)The new Condensate Polisher and brine tank system to be fabricated from all stainless steel construction. The system will include two 24" x 66" stainless steel tanks with 8 ft3 of resin per vessel, two 2" stainless steel valve harness with diaphragm valves, stainless steel internals, high temperature flow sensor, common control panel and 24" x 50" stainless steel brine tank. System to be designed for 24 hr. continuous service, automatic tank alternator, continuous flow of 64 gpm @ 6 psi pressure drop, max flow of 96 gpm @ 12 psi pressure drop. 9)Insulate all new condensate supply and return piping to match existing. 10)All work shall be coordinated with Boiler plant operator at 215-823-4382. 11)All work shall be performed during normal working hours of 7:00AM and 5:00 PM 12)Provide one year Warranty for labor and material and equipment included in this contract. 13)Job duration is 90 calendar days. 14)Qualified Mechanical contractors with at least 5 similar jobs in health care will be considered. 15)All Acronyms are HVAC system standards; any mechanical contractor is capable to recognize them. The contractor does not recognize the Acronyms are not qualified. 16)End
