- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. This is NOT a request for quotation and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract/purchase order. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to seek out interested businesses capable of fulfilling the service requirement The MCI-East Contracts Deparment is performing market research to determine available sources that can provide: Logostics Support Services for AV-8B aircraft. These services will provide to 2d MAW particular parts research services that are not otherwise available to the Government. The LSR's specialized knowledge and access to OEM proprietary information and systems cannot be provided by Marines organic to the MALS. The specialized skills include validating and providing technical research and coordination with FRC-E, DLA, and the OEM for consumable parts which are not readily available on station or in the supply system, reconciling with the The Boeing Company customer support team to locate stock and expedite requisitions, and providing access to engineering information and technical drawings which enable the MALS to locate alternates and/or manufacture critical readiness degraders. Access to Boeing Company proprietary information and systems required. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to the requirement by providing written notification to the point of contact (POC) no later than 2:00 pm EST, Monday September 19, 2016. Supporting evidence must be furnished in detail to demonstrate the capabilities to perform the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated, however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
