Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FAR 8.405-6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Philips Healthcare, Philips Medical Systems of North America, under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), "Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized." The proposed procurement is for the purchase of maintenance/service renewal for Philips model Allura Xper machine. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334510 and the size standard is 500 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider responses received by 1:00pm Eastern on Oct 14, 2016. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to gary.small@va.gov. No telephone requests will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
