- This File contains the Solicitation Document This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice for commercial items issued pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Price proposals are being requested and a written solicitation is enclosed. The solicitation number is W912P6-16-R-0039. Under this notice, the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District is issuing a solicitation package for consideration of price quotes from businesses capable of performing the scope of work. The work to be completed includes the supply and delivery of granite, quartzite, gabbro, diabase, basalt, or granodiorite stone materials. The stone material includes quarter to one (.25 - 1) ton stones. The Contractor shall deliver stone only by means of marine transportation to the Burns Waterway Harbor & the Chicago Area Stone Storage Dock. The contractor is to provide all management, labor, supplies, supervision, transportation, tools, materials and equipment necessary to perform the work outlined in the Scope of Work for this acquisition. All work shall be performed in strict compliance with the scope of work and all other terms, clauses, and conditions incorporated therein. The applicable Size Standard is North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code: 327991 - Cut Stone and Stone Product Manufacturing with standard size of 500 employees. COMPETITION FOR THIS ACQUISITION IS UNRESTRICTED TO BUSINESS SIZE. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): The Contractor must be registered in the SAM to be eligible for the resultant award. Registration can be completed, at no charge, at http://www.sam.gov. AWARD: A firm-fixed priced Commercial Items Contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible contractor submitting the lowest aggregate price for the items included in the Bid Schedule. Split or multiple awards will not result from this solicitation. SUBMITTAL DUE DATE AND TIME: Submittals are required no later than 5:00 p.m. CDT on 27 SEPTEMBER 2016. PROPOSAL SUBMISSION: Regardless of the method of delivery (mailed or hand‐carried), proposal packages shall be enclosed and sealed in an envelope that is clearly marked "Proposal" and shall include the assigned Solicitation Number, with the response date and time. (1) Mailed Proposals: It is the responsibility of each offeror to ensure that its proposal is received by the Chicago District's - USACE Contracting Branch, located at 231 South LaSalle Street, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60604 prior to the date and time set for the response. (2) Hand carried Proposals: The Offeror may hand carry its proposal. Once reaching the District office located at 231 South LaSalle Street, Chicago, Illinois 60604, the offeror shall CONTACT Mr. Thomas Russell at phone number 312‐846‐5376, or Mike Jones at phone number 312‐846‐5373 to retrieve its PROPOSAL from the Lobby Area of the USACE's office location. IN THE CASE OF A DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE DATES PUBLISHED IN THIS NOTICE AND THOSE CALLED OUT IN THE RFP DOCUMENT, THE DATES IN THE RFP DOCUMENT OVERRIDES THOSE PUBLISHED HEREIN THIS NOTICE; THIS IS RELATIVE TO THE RFP ISSUANCE DATE AND THE DUE DATE FOR PRICE PROPOSALS.

- Address: The Contractor will deliver the various stone materials acquired by this purchase to two different sites. The points of delivery include Burns Waterway Harbor & the Chicago Area Stone Storage Dock., Burns Waterway Harbor - This delivery site is located on the north side of the Burns Waterway Harbor channel entrance; the nearest street address of this location is 6625 South Boundary Drive, Portage, IN 46368. This is the location of the Port of Indiana – Burns Harbor. If the Contractor requires landside access to this point of delivery for any reason, the Contractor must contact the Port of Indiana – Burns Harbor in advance to obtain access to the site., Chicago Area Stone Storage Dock - This site is located on the north side of the mouth of the Calumet River; the nearest street address of this location is 8555 South Green Bay Avenue, Chicago, IL 60617. This is the location of the public street intersection is East 86th Street, and South Green Bay Avenue in the City of Chicago. If the Contractor requires landside access to this point of delivery for any reason, the Contractor must contact the Technical POC in advance to obtain access to the site., United States
