Description

The Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii intends to extend existing Blanket Purchase Agreement W81K02-16-A-0001 for Genetic Reference Laboratory Testing services. This extension is for a period of performance of 1 October 2016 through 30 September 2017 and will allow services to continue without disruption until a follow-on contract vehicle can be awarded. The proposed acquisition is intended as a sole-source set-aside to Baylor College of Medicine (Baylor Miraca Genetics Laboratories), to ensure continuity of services are maintained for TAMC due to unanticipated delays in the reprocurement process. It is not possible to solicit and award a new contract before the start date of 1 October 2016 without negatively impacting patient care. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Although this particular requirement will be sole-sourced, the follow-on (base and four option periods) requirement is anticipated to be solicited via full and open competition at a later date.
