Description
Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Shertech Pharmacy Services, Inc. (DUNS: 831604843), pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.5, FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) and Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The proposed sole source purchase order is for estimated quantities of radiopharmaceuticals necessary to continue operations in Nuclear Medicine Service of the Asheville VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. The NAICS code for this contract action is 325412, Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The Product Service Code for this action is 6505, Drugs and Biologicals. The list of required supplies to be provided under this contract includes Pertechnetate, Sulfur Colloid, Indium-111, 67 Gallium Citrate and other similar supplies. The contract will require delivery to begin on 1 October 2016, on an as needed basis, dependent upon patient need. Shertech Pharmacy Services, Inc. is the incumbent contract holder of indefinite delivery vehicle VA246-15-D-0081. The current contract expires on 30 September 2016 and the facility does not have a contract vehicle in place to continue deliveries in fiscal year 2017, starting 1 October 2016. Given the insufficient time available to compete a new procurement, the Network Contracting Office 6 will award a 6 month purchase order, to the incumbent contractor, to ensure continuity of services until a new follow-on procurement can be completed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Tuesday, September 27, 2016, 05:00PM EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Daniel Spaulding, Contract Specialist, at daniel.spaulding@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
