Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition Operations (OAO), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract modification to SunGard Availability Services, LP, 680 E. Swedesford Road, Wayne, PA, pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2) entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." However, in accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The period of performance is six months, plus two (2) six-month option periods and one (1) five-month option period. The proposed contract modification is an extension to the current contract as a result of technical issues in migration to the new vendor's facility. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 514513. This notification shall close on September 30, 2016.
