- THIS IS NOT A FORMAL REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) AND DOES NOT COMMIT THE National Institute of Health, Clinical Center TO AWARD A CONTRACT NOW OR IN THE FUTURE. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability of small businesses (e.g., 8(a), service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, veteran-owned small business, and women-owned small business) under NAICS code, 541611 that have National Institute of Health, Critical Care Medicine Department. Treatment Facilities. Background/Scope Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD) has a requirement for Neurointensivist consultation services. The CCMD intends to issue a single Request for Proposal and make an award contracts for Direct Healthcare Provider Support Services. The Contractor shall provide direct patient care services at the Clinical Center.The clinical support team required a broad variety of routine medical issues during the course of treatment. The contractor is required for emergency consultation as part of this requirement. CCMD does not have a full time neurointensivisit on staff. National Institute of Health employees or other contracted staff in accomplishing its mission of providing direct healthcare services to eligible beneficiaries. Direct healthcare services may take the form of treatment, emergency consultation would unlikely be needed for than one (1) patient per month and this number may increase. Consultation may occur during operation hours of 8:00 am to 5pm. Inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Capability Statement - Any potential offeror must demonstrate the following: In person consultation at the bedside on any patient requested by CCMD physician within 8 hours, generally provided at morning (8:00 a.m.) or afternoon (3:30 p.m.) ICU rounds but must be available at other times for urgent clinical problems. Emergency in person consultation at bedside, within 8 hours of request. Telephone consultation within 1 hour of request for any adult neuro critical care issue requested by CCMD physician. Direct and organize the didactic lectures or training sessions (neuro critical care lecture series) for the NIH staff which will average two (2) under this requirement and must meet standards for academic departmental grand rounds. The audience will be physicians, nurses, or technical NIH staff. The topics will be on neuro critical care issues as requested by Chief, CCMD, CC, NIH. Encourage and facilitate research and exchange of fellows and research projects between programs for the purposes of training and academic activities Qualifications: The Neurointensivist must meet the following requirements: Board certification/eligibility in neuro critical care Appointment as senior staff at a Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) accredited hospital Licensed to practice in a state, territory or commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia Coverage by malpractice insurance The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity, experience and capability in the following areas: Provide the following business information: a. Type/Size of company, NAICS code as validated via the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) The synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. All information submitted in response to this announcement must arrive on or before the closing date.
